Description

Established in 1948 in Houston’s Museum District, the institution occupies a space designed by architect Gunnar Birkerts. Its exhibitions spotlight new work by emerging and established artists across regional, national, and international spheres. Alongside these thought-provoking presentations, the museum hosts performances and educational programs that engage directly with the art of our time.
