Inside, a large split amethyst geode shaped like wings stands in front of apparel racks and hanging dreamcatchers.

Comics in a Broader Frame
The Society of Illustrators presents two centuries of original illustration art across four floors in an Upper East Side townhouse. Marvel and DC works range from the early twentieth century to today. Movie posters and editorial cartoons extend the exhibits beyond comic books and graphic novels. A bar occupies the third floor. The museum opens Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Craft Traditions Meet Visual Culture
Karma Nepal Crafts centers creative work on objects to wear or display, pairing clothing designed in Queens with spiritual pieces handmade by women artisans in Nepal and India. Staff can explain the meaning and heritage of those pieces. Society of Illustrators shifts attention to original images, including comic books, graphic novels, album covers, and editorial cartoons. Together, the stops connect storytelling through different forms, from cultural meaning carried by handmade objects to narratives developed through illustration.
