🍽️ Comfort Food and Original Art

Take yourself out for a daytime meal at Founding Farmers DC, the farmer owned flagship at 1924 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Three blocks west of the White House, the urban farmhouse serves scratch made comfort food and cocktails. For a meal on your own, choose an intimate corner rather than the handcrafted community farm tables.

Silo booths carry the farmhouse theme into the dining room. Look for the large flying Pegasus created by Darla Jackson, then find the lamb mascot by Noella Cotnam. Its outfits change with the seasons. The original installations give this central Washington stop something to linger over between bites.

Breakfast runs Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 11 AM, while Saturday and Sunday brunch runs from 8 AM to 2 PM. The restaurant also holds 3 Star Certified Green Restaurant status and follows LEED Gold environmental standards. Make this your morning meal before heading back out onto Pennsylvania Avenue.
