Columbus (Christopher) Park

Spanning roughly 140 acres in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood, the site is one of the few parks in the country designated as a National Historic Landmark in its entirety. Alongside prairie vegetation and a signature council ring, the grounds support extensive recreation. Visitors have access to a nine-hole golf course, a dedicated fishing lagoon, and courts for tennis, pickleball, and basketball. The fieldhouse provides gymnasiums and fitness facilities, while the historic Refectory Building serves as a setting for weddings and special events.
