Description
Dedicated to San Diego in 1962, the recreation center took its name after local elementary students won a contest proposing "Slopes of the Sun." Alongside outdoor picnic areas, a playground, and a tot lot, the facility houses community spaces that include a game room, meeting room, full-size kitchen, and a craft and ceramic room. The center also runs structured youth and adult programs, ranging from flag football and basketball skills to arts and crafts and adult yoga.
