Description
The three-story residence stands as an architectural hybrid, pairing an 1883 Stick-style Victorian front with Craftsman remodeling in the rear completed after the 1906 earthquake. Rooted in the fortunes of two Gold Rush-era families, the interior retains pocket doors, stained glass, five fireplaces, and Pottier & Stymus and Herter Brothers furnishings alongside original carpeting. Outside, the half-acre grounds include beehives, fruit trees, hops, seasonal vegetables, and rose bushes, alongside ongoing preservation and restoration projects.
