Your coffee break has canine company at 195 Avenue A in the East Village. Dogs can play off leash while you sip coffee, beer, or wine at this Department of Health approved dog cafe. Pastries are part of the lineup for people, while free treats and homemade options for sale give pups their own snack choices.

Bring a vaccinated dog, and keep children closely supervised. Children are not allowed to sit on the floor. Entry to the Dog Dining Room with a dog carries a five dollar admission fee, waived for members and on the human only cafe side. Membership is 25 dollars a month.

There is Wi Fi for a work session, though laptops are not allowed after 6 PM on weekend evenings. Adoption events and pet wellness workshops are also part of the calendar. Pick a drink, settle into the cozy space, and give your pup some time to play.
