Coffee, Vintage, and Zines on One East Village Walk
Begin in the vintage racks, add two neighborhood espressos, and finish among hand-stitched zines.
🗺️ The route, four stops
🧥 Vintage racks on Elizabeth Street
The walk opens just west of Bowery at Awoke Vintage, where the racks hold grail graphic tees, jorts, NY caps, retro shades, and vintage jewelry. The curation stays tight and the pricing is straightforward, with extra finds on the outside rack worth a look. The first coffee is a short block east.
☕️ Small-batch coffee on East 1st
A few minutes east on East 1st Street, Moon Coffee Lab runs out of a compact storefront at number 45. The bar pours beans from a rotating list of US roasters, with handcrafted pour-overs and a lychee matcha for a lighter option. A few small tables leave room for a short break before you keep heading north toward East 7th.

🥐 Cortados and cake at Abraço
Abraço is a compact counter-serve espresso bar on East 7th Street, best for posting up at the bar. Order an espresso or a chocolate-noted pour-over and, once the morning baking is done, the delicate olive oil cake that arrives around 8:40 AM. Savory small plates round out the day, an easy fit inside a walking afternoon.

📚 Zines and art at Village Works
The last stop trades coffee for print. Village Works on St. Marks Place stocks poetry, art books, and locally made zines and comics you will not find in a chain. A resident cat named Ally supervises the aisles, and a no-phone policy keeps the room calm for reading covers.
