Description

This rain-or-shine procession transforms quiet brownstone blocks into a community-led celebration. The route begins at the Congress Street gate of Cobble Hill Park, moving along a loop of Congress, Henry, Warren, and Clinton streets before returning to the park. The official parade path is closed to traffic by the NYPD, allowing the costumed crowd to follow the band safely as they weave toward the Cobble Hill Health Center. It functions as a neighborhood-wide spectacle, with local residents frequently participating by handing out candy to children along the way. While the event is strictly local in feel, it maintains a highly structured pace led by the musicians, ensuring the costumed marchers remain in sync as they travel through the heart of the neighborhood.
