Club Passim

4.7 (357)music_venue

A storied basement listening room where folk legends got their start, with attentive crowds and close-packed tables.

Description

Tucked down an alleyway, the venue occupies the original site of Club 47, which hosted early performances by artists including Joan Baez, Bonnie Raitt, Tom Rush, and Jimmy Buffett. Inside, seating is arranged in an elbow-to-elbow communal setup around small tables; maneuvering in and out of seats is tight, but the proximity readily sparks conversation with tablemates before the music begins. The club also serves reasonably priced, healthy dishes, highlighted by a vegan-friendly menu featuring butternut soup and black bean burgers.
