🎩 A Small Room, Cards Up Close

Young Ethel's is a bar with a small stage on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope, and the NYC Magic Ensemble plays the room from only a few feet away. Card work and mind reading happen close enough to follow the deck with your own eyes, and the whole show runs about an hour. The lineup is set on the night, and the organizer's listing names magician Mike Kurylo among its performers.

🍺 Drink First, Then a Seat

Doors open at 6:45 PM for the 7:00 PM start, and chairs go first come, first served. The organizer asks everyone to buy a drink at the bar before walking into the show. Getting there early gives a better chance at a good seat close to the cards.

🎟️ Tickets, Age and the Trip Over

A single ticket costs 10 dollars, two cost 15 dollars, and groups of six or more pay 6 dollars each, with Eventbrite fees added, so the amount at checkout is the final price. Prices as listed on Eventbrite on Oct 22. The October 22 show sold out, so buying on Eventbrite ahead of time is the safer plan. Entry is strictly 21 and over, and refunds are available up to four days before the show. Young Ethel's sits at 506 Fifth Avenue, a few blocks from the 4 Av 9 St station on the F, G and R, which has no elevator.
