Description

Designed in 1923 by landscape architect Howard Gilkey, the monument was planned around a series of cascading water channels stepping down the slope. Decades of neglect and burial eventually obscured the site until a volunteer and community restoration revived the grounds, reopening the ascent as a scenic public pathway.
