Classic Films on a Living Memorial
Walk quietly past stained glass, headstones, reflection pools, and resident peacocks before settling on the lawn for a picnic and pre-show DJ set. Inside, the warm, intimate hall hosts music, readings, and podcast tapings.
Cemetery Grounds and Lodge
A Living Memorial Landscape
Peacocks cross the lawns between headstones, stained glass, and the Ramones' grave. Late October daylight catches the paved roads and reflection pools before the evening programming begins. Entry to the grounds is free. Hollywood Forever Cemetery remains an active burial ground and a major Day of the Dead site. Keep voices low and give private memorials space. Later, the grounds also serve as a cultural venue, connecting this daytime walk with performances and outdoor screenings.

Close-Range Nights at Hollywood Forever
Set within the cemetery grounds, the Masonic Lodge first opened in 1927 and hosts live music, author events, and podcast tapings. Architecture and decor give the hall a cinematic, surreal setting. The intimate hall accommodates approximately 300 guests, keeping performances contained and close. The main performance area can get quite warm during events. Public events require tickets, with prices varying by performance. Free parking is available onsite within the cemetery gates.

Picnic Hours Under Open Skies
Saturday programs turn the cemetery lawn into a seasonal gathering for iconic titles and older classics. General admission is ticketed through Ticketweb or the official site, with prices typically around 50 dollars per person including fees. Arrive early for a place on the grass, then settle with blankets or low chairs and tables, cheese, charcuterie, and champagne. Pre-show DJ sets fill the wait before the film begins. Screenings run from 6:45 PM to midnight.
