Planted with native and adaptive greenery that thrives in North Texas conditions, the grounds function as a habitat to support pollinators and birds in the middle of downtown. At the center, an interactive fountain creates a gathering space during summer. The cooling effect is measurable: a Downtown Dallas Parks Conservancy study found the park averages 13.1 degrees cooler than adjacent sites in the morning and 6.6 degrees cooler in the afternoon.
