Originally constructed in 2000 as Murphy City Park and also known as Timbers Nature Preserve Park, the space expanded in 2015 to pair 16 acres of natural area with 12 acres of multi-faceted parkland. The grounds incorporate sports facilities and picnic areas, giving the setting a clear balance between preserved natural terrain and developed outdoor recreation.
