Circus Cooperative Cafe

Started by workers seeking an equitable alternative to absent ownership and underpaid shifts, Circus is run as one of Cambridge’s few cooperative cafes, where worker-owners share decisions on everything from the space’s layout to the menu. Its offerings lean on specific regional partnerships, pulling together coffee and pastries from Equal Exchange, Speedwell, Danish Pastry House, and A&J King alongside tea from MEM and spices from Curio.
