Description

Long referred to as Honey Hill throughout its modern history, the area holds prehistoric and historic Native American artifacts first documented during a 1975 state archaeological survey. The finds established the grounds as one of Miami-Dade County's most valuable archaeological resources, resulting in an official historic site designation in 1982 to protect the land from development.
