Children’s Vegetable Garden

Tucked inside the park’s Historic Homestead, the garden centers on structured learning alongside practical soil work. Each Tuesday morning, volunteers from the Bexar County Master Gardeners guide students through a hands-on garden task followed by a lesson covering agricultural commodities, nutrition, and teamwork. The surrounding setup was built with broad community involvement, featuring raised beds, potting tables, benches, and compost bins constructed by Eagle Scout candidates.
