🕛 What happens after the eight o'clock show

Saturday night opens with Jenny Scheinman and All Species Parade from 8 p.m. to midnight ($25 cover). That show is ticketed and charged separately. Around midnight the room resets, and the Righteous Rooster trio takes the stage from 1 to 4 a.m. Sunday morning. Henry Dickoff plays organ, Kenny Reichert guitar, and Luke Sagadin drums, rolling through soul jazz, funk, and blues for a separate $5 door cover.

🎩 Inside the 1907 Uptown room

Dating to 1907, the Green Mill is widely cited as the country's longest-running jazz club. The space keeps its vintage art deco details and curved gold velvet booths, including the corner booth once frequented by Al Capone during Prohibition.

🚇 Cash only and strictly 21+

The Red Line stops at Lawrence, one block west, and runs 24 hours. Entry is strictly 21 and over with valid government ID required at the door. The club accepts cash only with no credit cards, reservations, or advance tickets, and seating is strictly first-come, first-served. The $5 cover applies only to the 1 a.m. late set.
