Description

Anchored at the foot of LaSalle Street in the Loop, this Holabird & Root design served as the headquarters of Chicago's commodities exchange and famously doubled as Wayne Tower in the Batman film trilogy. Inside, the architecture shifts from a relatively plain exterior into intricate Art Deco finishes, mixing stone, glass, and metal across ornate elevator doors, ceilings, and doorways. Visitors can freely step in to inspect the historic safe deposit vault and explore exhibits tracing the history of financial trading pits.
