Description

Where Connecticut and Western Avenues meet four other streets, the junction functions as a gateway to the Nation's Capital and once marked the 1890 entrance to suburban Chevy Chase, Maryland. Formally integrated into Rock Creek Park, the grounds center on a fountain dedicated by an Act of Congress in 1932.
