John and Dorothy Schutz originally opened the shop as an outlet for imported cheese and fine foods from around the world. Over the decades, it evolved into an everyday deli operation where meats are roasted and soups simmered in-house. Orders across the counter run from morning English muffin sandwiches to turkey and avocado or the New York special, built to order with whatever additions you want. Alongside the savory cases sits an old-school candy shelf stocked with nostalgic treats like wax teeth.
