Description

Accessed from the Overton entrance, the route begins on paved concrete paths and bridges along a mostly flat stretch of the Chattahoochee River. It then turns sharply uphill to follow Rottenwood Creek, trading the broad water for a steeper, tree-shaded climb past large river rocks, waterfalls, and scenic overlooks. The shift in grade delivers a solid workout without leaving the shade or the sound of running water.
