Catch Gulls Hockey And Touring Concerts In The Midway
Gulls hockey, box lacrosse, and touring concerts fill Pechanga Arena, the Midway District room that opened in 1966.
🏒 One roof, many nights
Pechanga Arena San Diego is the Midway District's oldest large room, a 1966 building that swaps its floor between hockey ice, lacrosse turf, and a concert stage. The AHL's San Diego Gulls skate here through winter, and the box-lacrosse Seals take the same surface once the boards come down.
Touring musicians and family ice shows fill the rest of the calendar, and the bowl wraps close enough that the upper rows still read the scoreboard and the setlist without a screen. The marquee out on Sports Arena Boulevard lists the week ahead.
Parking spreads across the surrounding lots, and the arena sits a short drive from the beaches and the airport. With roughly 12,000 seats, it catches the mid-size tours that outgrow the clubs downtown.
