Bring cash for your roast.

🥡 Roast Meats Over Rice

Whole ducks hang in the window at Wah Fung No. 1 Fast Food, a tiny Chinatown counter at 79 Chrystie Street. The menu stays focused on Cantonese roast meats, with pork, duck, chicken and crispy pig served over white rice and napa cabbage. Choose a single meat or a combination, and give the roast the center of your plate.

Bring cash, and plan for strictly takeout with no seating. Small plates start at approximately six dollars, while large plates and combinations range from eight dollars and fifty cents to nine dollars and fifty cents. Reservations are not required, keeping this a counter pickup to fold into a Chinatown outing.

Opening hours run Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 7 PM, with Monday closed. Keep that evening cutoff in mind when planning dinner, and collect your order before heading onward through the neighborhood.
