Description

Built along Commercial Street on the site of a former fish packing plant, this seaside park layers local heritage into a quiet waterfront rest stop. Beneath a pergola framed by green lawn and plantings, stationary and swinging benches face outward over the bay. Interpretive touches ground the space, pairing Mary Oliver poetry inscriptions with an etched ground map and scientific displays. Direct beach access, picnic tables, public restrooms, and evening lighting make it easy to pause, though visitors coming off the sand will find no foot-wash station to rinse off.
