Description
Opened in 1926 as a flagship of the Orpheum vaudeville circuit, the Palace Theatre took its architectural cues from the palaces of Fontainebleau and Versailles. After a 1999 restoration, it reopened as the Cadillac Palace Theatre and now hosts pre-Broadway tryouts and national tours. The interiors are frequently called stunning, with visitors singling out the spectacular view and sound from the front-row balcony. The venue feels formal enough for dressing up, though casual attire is accepted, and the ushers are known for running a tight ship.
