C&O Canal River Trail

Starting just upstream from Great Falls Tavern, this route runs one mile one way as a shorter and flatter option than Billy Goat A, bypassing steep scrambles while keeping views of rocky river outcroppings. The path also connects directly into the historic Chesapeake and Ohio Canal towpath stretching toward Cumberland, opening into wider routes for walking and cycling past preserved locks, lockhouses, and aqueducts.
