Browse Sexual History With a Carnival Twist
Contemporary exhibitions offer a quieter counterpoint to the museum visit. The galleries suit daytime exploration, while the museum's later closing leaves room to linger. Check the program for workshop dates before adding hands-on craft.
Manhattan Culture Walk
Fifth Avenue After Dark
Museum of Sex traces human sexuality through historical artifacts and changing exhibits. The galleries give way to an interactive 18+ carnival with slides and a bounce room. A couples package includes entry, games, two cocktails and a gift bag. Individual carnival games otherwise cost five dollars each. Allow about two hours to explore both the historical displays and the carnival. On Friday and Saturday, the museum stays open until midnight.

Art With Elbow Room
Entry is free at Casey Kaplan. The gallery opens Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Find it at 121 West 27th Street on Manhattan's Gallery Row. Its ground-floor exhibition space spans five thousand square feet. Contemporary work by emerging international artists fills the gallery. Exhibitions change every six to eight weeks. Make this a daytime stop on the Saturday culture walk through Manhattan.

An Upstairs Afternoon Pause
Japanese teas accompany contemporary exhibitions at Fou Gallery. Find it in Suite 701 on the seventh floor of 89 Fifth Avenue. The street entrance has no sign. A small tea house sits within the gallery. The calendar includes kintsugi workshops and tea ceremonies. Saturday hours are 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Check the program for workshop dates, or take a break over tea during the Saturday culture walk through Manhattan.
