🍽️ New Orleans Plates and Bingo

Heavy Woods doubles as a Brooklyn pool table bar and a New Orleans kitchen, and it has held 50 Wyckoff Ave down as a neighborhood anchor from 2012 onward. Craft drafts, a steady soundtrack, and friendly bartenders set the shape of the room, while the kitchen turns out catfish po boys, crawdip, and Cajun seasoned tots.

Drinks run from the John Oliver cocktail to the classics, and the room handles a quiet midday pint or a World Cup crowd with the same ease. Sunday adds bingo from 4 to 6 PM, a small ritual that gives the week its own pulse.

Doors open at noon on Saturday and Sunday and at 2 PM Monday through Friday, closing at 1 AM Sunday through Thursday and 2 AM on Friday and Saturday. The kitchen runs until 11 PM early in the week and midnight on Friday and Saturday, which leaves plenty of room for a late plate of Southern cooking.
