Brooklyn Park Walks from Lawns to Refinery Relics
Walk at your own pace, with room for a picnic or a coffee pause. Runners and families share the active park grounds, while a quiet memorial plaza offers somewhere to sit with a sandwich.
Parks, Promenade and Plaza
Lorimer Street Starting Point
McCarren Park has a running track for laps before a Saturday stroll. Browse the farmers market on Saturdays, then take a walk through the open green spaces. Outdoor pull-up bars offer another way to exercise. Picnic areas provide a place to pause with something to eat. The Brooklyn park is at 776 Lorimer St. It opens daily at 6:00 AM and closes at 1:00 AM the following morning. An after-dinner walk fits within those hours.

Factory Relics Along the Shore
Daily hours at Domino Park run from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The park is at 15 River Street in Williamsburg. Walkers can also explore an elevated walkway within the park grounds. Industrial artifacts from the former Domino Sugar Refinery are part of the landscape. Look for the fog bridge during your walk. The waterfront promenade has views across the East River toward the Manhattan skyline.

A Memorial Interlude
Benches at Father Jerzy Popieluszko Square offer a place to sit between park walks. Seating falls in partial shade or sun depending on the time of day. Bring a sandwich or a cup of coffee to enjoy during a walking break. A stone bust stands in the quiet paved plaza northwest of McCarren Park. The address is 33 Nassau Ave. Daily hours run from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
