Description

A collection of eleven historic homes stands within the square block bordered by West Seventh, West Eighth, Guadalupe, and San Antonio streets. Constructed from the 1850s to 1910, these residences retain an almost unaltered form. Large live oaks and lush planting frame the houses at the edge of a bluff near Congress Avenue. Six of the properties were built or expanded for members of the families of brothers Eugene and John Bremond, who shaped local merchandising, banking, and social circles.
