Botanical Cocktails in a 15-Seat Industry City Bar
Taste New York State spirits at Bitter Monk, the secluded tasting microdistillery for Atheras Spirits.
🌿 A Foraged Spirits Detour
Bitter Monk makes a small scale cocktail detour out of Industry City, with room for just 15 people. House amari and wild foraged botanicals anchor the drinks in this secluded, dimly lit Brooklyn bar. The space also serves as the tasting microdistillery for Atheras Spirits, and its lineage leads back to Sugar Monk.
The menu features New York State brands exclusively. Liqueurs and bitters draw on wild plants, roots, and flowers foraged by Tama Matsuoka Wong. You can explore them through clarified and smoked cocktails, with curated spirit tastings offering another way into the drinks.
Find it on the second floor of Building No 6 at 68 34th Street. Wednesday is tasting room only from noon to 5 PM, Thursday runs from 2 PM to 8 PM, Friday and Saturday from 2 PM to 10 PM, and Sunday from 1 PM to 8 PM, with Monday and Tuesday closed.
