Boston Ballet's The Nutcracker

Mikko Nissinen’s staging of this holiday classic pairs Tchaikovsky’s score, played live by the Boston Ballet Orchestra, with grand sets and intricate choreography. Audience reviews single out the dancers’ precision and athleticism, the orchestra’s superb sound under director Mischa Santora, and charming touches like funny mice and a great bear. A December 4 sensory friendly performance is designed to welcome neurodiverse guests and those with sensory sensitivities, though loud music and flashing lights may still be challenging for some.
