Description

The playground functions as a recreational space for neighborhood families and children. The surrounding streets trace back to 1809, when Anthony Lispenard Bleecker and his wife Mary ceded a portion of their land to the city. This transfer established the footprint for several major local thoroughfares, including Bleecker, Houston, Mercer, Wooster, Greene, Sullivan, and Laurens (now West Broadway) streets.
