Bill Speidel’s Underground Tour
4.5 (9,852)attraction
A humorous walk through subterranean storefronts entombed when Seattle rebuilt atop itself after the 1889 Great Fire.
Description

The 75-minute guided walking tour starts beneath Doc Maynard’s Public House, spills into historic Pioneer Square—Seattle’s birthplace—and plunges below ground for a time-capsule view of the buried city. It serves as the only access to the interconnecting tunnels of the Seattle Underground, leading through the subterranean sidewalks left behind after the city rebuilt above them.
