Robinson was celebrated for elaborate routines like his signature stair dance, alongside a larger-than-life persona that led to a starring role in Broadway's *Blackbirds of 1928*. His career spanned 14 motion pictures, including films with Shirley Temple and his final performance in *Stormy Weather* with Lena Horne. He ultimately channeled his wealth back into the community, donating most of his earnings to local charities and organizations.
