New Orleans Sweet Treats Food Tour: Beignets, Donuts, & Much MoreTwo hours on foot up Magazine Street from PJ's Coffee to The Vintage, with beignets and donuts at four stops and a local guide.www.viator.comPowdered Sugar and a Coffee at PJ's to Start

PJ's Coffee is the meeting point and the first tasting. The listing opens the morning with traditional beignets under powdered sugar and a coffee in hand, and travelers from 2024 to 2026 mention a choice of coffee or tea at the counter.
From there the walk follows Magazine Street to the second stop, past murals, older buildings and independent shops. On the operator's plan this is the only donut stop of the four; the other three are beignets. The listing names District Donuts here. The operator describes fresh donuts in creative flavors, a more modern side of the city's sweets.
Two More Beignets, Ending at The Vintage

The third stop goes back to beignets with a seasonal twist. The operator says it usually brings fruit, jam or other toppings, and that the selection changes through the year. Travelers from 2024 to 2026 name Ruby Slipper for this stop. One describes a dense beignet served with custard and fruit, another a lemon blueberry version.
The last stop is The Vintage at 3121 Magazine Street, where the operator describes one more creative beignet, with flavors such as chocolate or pistachio. Flavors rotate, so treat the ones named on this page as examples. A 2024 traveler got to pick a beignet there and chose s'mores, while family members went for raspberry filled.
Garden District Streets Between the Bites
Between tastings the guide talks through the history, food and culture of the neighborhood. Later in the walk, the operator says, the route turns through the Garden District, with tree-lined streets, colorful homes and old architecture, a part of New Orleans that feels different from the French Quarter. Travelers add that guides point out restaurants, shops and local plants along the way.
Sidewalks are uneven in places; a March 2026 traveler warned about it, and the operator flags uneven surfaces for strollers. The walk is outdoors between stops. The operator says most of its New Orleans tours run rain or shine unless conditions turn unsafe, and travelers describe carrying on through downpours and August heat.
Dietary Needs, Kids, Access and Portion Size
Dietary needs need a heads-up. The operator asks guests to flag allergies and restrictions when booking, the booking form has a special requirements field, and the operator's New Orleans FAQ says several partner shops carry vegan or gluten-free options, with gluten-free availability varying by shop. One 2026 traveler marked a vegan diet on the reservation and found the guide had not been told, so say it again at check-in.
Kids are welcome. The listing prices children from age 1 to 10 and needs an adult on every booking. It also says infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller; the operator says strollers are generally welcome but some routes have busy sidewalks or uneven surfaces.
The listing does not mark the tour wheelchair accessible and says it is not recommended for travelers who cannot walk or stand for two hours. The operator's FAQ says accessibility varies by route and asks guests with specific needs to contact it before the tour.
Tastings are samples. Two critical reviews from 2025 describe quartered or half portions at some stops, while another traveler calls the morning filling and one advises skipping breakfast.
📍 Meet at PJ's Coffee, 2140 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA 70130.
Departures are at 9:00 and 10:00 AM. The operator's own calendar, checked on October 12, showed both start times on most October dates and only the 10:00 on a couple. The operator suggests arriving about 10 minutes early and waits until 10 minutes past the start before setting off. Running later than that, call the operator to meet the group at the second stop.
The tour ends at The Vintage, 3121 Magazine Street, and does not loop back, so remember where you parked. The listing gives a full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours before the start.
Come hungry. The first beignet is at PJ's, before the walking begins.
