Marian's Brooklyn is a Bed Stuy jazz bar at heart, with a Thursday night jazz jam running in a small back room beyond the main bar. The local at 108 Patchen Ave keeps the performance space cozy, and the players set the pace for the night.
Friday switches to trivia, and stand-up comedy takes over every other Wednesday, which gives the calendar three distinct reasons to stop by. Pick the night by mood, a jam for listening, questions for a team or a comic for a laugh.
Up front, the bar pours draft beers, wine selections and custom drinks, with casual bar bites alongside. Thursday also brings a late happy hour from 11 PM to midnight, and Wine Wednesday takes half off selected wines. Doors open daily at 4 PM, closing at midnight Monday through Friday, 2 AM on Saturday and 10 PM on Sunday.
