Bay Views and Live Music for a San Diego Date Night
Pair cured meats and cocktails at an Italian-inspired deli with a 90-foot yacht's viewing decks, then land in an intimate metal, punk, and rock venue with lounge seating and pool tables.
Deli to Deck to Stage
East Village Italian Stop
Start your San Diego night at this Italian-inspired deli on Ninth Avenue, where cured meats, charcuterie, meatballs, and well-priced Negronis share the spotlight. The breakfast sandwich brings a seasoned sausage patty, American cheese, and a lightly toasted English muffin.
Friday and Saturday hours reach midnight, giving date-night plans room to stretch. Lively yet chill music and regular neighborhood events keep the room social, with casual drinks setting up an easy first stop.

Bay Views and Event Space
At 1880 Harbor Island Dr, a 90-foot yacht opens onto San Diego Bay with 360-degree viewing decks. Private charters can host up to 140 guests, while the open-concept design favors mingling over fixed seating. A main-deck bar adds teakwood accents. Groups may reserve sections on the top deck. Public holiday cruises, including New Year's Eve and July 4th, bring live DJs, dancing, and onboard food service.

A Small Room After Dark
At 1130 Buenos Ave, Brick By Brick channels San Diego’s live metal, punk, and rock circuit into an intimate venue with a lounge and pool tables. Bands play every evening, with hours running from 7:00 PM to 1:30 AM the next day. Well drinks run around nine dollars, and event nights carry a minimum of 15 dollars. Entry is strictly 21 and up. The restrooms and smoking area have limited space.
