This understated rectangular bar behind a nondescript exterior in the French Concession evokes a 1930s detective novel with its low-lit interior and jazz music. As the original location among about four Constellation bars in Shanghai, it pairs an exhaustive list of cocktails and an incredible selection of bourbons and scotch with proper whiskey glasses and clear ice.
