Description

Dating back to the mid-1980s, when artists began transforming alley walls to express political outrage and solidarity with struggles in Central America, this site has become San Francisco's most concentrated collection of murals. The imagery continually shifts, presenting a wide range of artistic styles addressing themes from human rights to local gentrification. The alley is best navigated on foot, whether walking the block independently or joining a guided tour from Precita Eyes Mural Arts.
