Description
The playground, a school, and an avenue are all named for the illustrator John James Audubon (1785–1851), renowned for his book *Birds of America*. His legacy also inspired the Audubon Society, which was established in his honor in 1905 and remains one of the oldest and largest conservation groups in the world. Locally, the park grounds also provide public restrooms.
