Atlanta Dive Bar Pairs Satirical Art With House Sangria
Sip cocktails in a church themed room, then head upstairs for ping pong among the couches.
🎤 Wednesday Takes the Mic
Church of the Living Room puts its irreverent streak on full display at 466 Edgewood Ave SE. Stained glass and high ceilings set the church themed backdrop, while satirical art and messaging cover the walls from end to end. House sangria shares the bar with margaritas, and picnic style eats give the evening something to run on.
Upstairs, couches surround the ping pong tables, and the weekly matches take place on Mondays. Wednesday brings church organ karaoke at 10 PM, a shift from paddles to a microphone that suits a room with very little reverence. The crowd can get packed and boisterous when the singing starts.
Pick your evening around the activity, whether the plan involves a game or a turn behind the microphone. Hours run Monday through Saturday from 5 PM to 3 AM, and Sunday from 5 PM to midnight.
