Atlanta BeltLine Weekend: Food Halls, Trail Art & Rooftop Views

A flexible Friday-to-Sunday Atlanta itinerary linking Ponce City Market, rooftop views, the Eastside Trail, and Krog Street Market.

Explore the three acts.

🌆 Friday · Historic Food Hall to Rooftop Skyline

Start Friday evening wandering through Ponce City Market, browsing local food counters and retail stalls inside the restored Sears building. When dusk settles, take the freight elevator up to Skyline Park for retro midway games, 18-hole mini golf, and panoramic views across the Midtown skyline. Friday hours run 15:00–24:00 with all ages welcome. General rooftop admission is $15 for adults (over 12), $8 for kids 12 and under, and free for children under 3; mini golf, rides, and midway games require separate fees, purchased online or at the ticket booth. Keep dinner casual across market stalls if lines get long.

🌿 Saturday · Morning Stroll, Public Art & Park Greens

Dedicate Saturday to the paved corridor of The Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail, taking in open-air murals, sculptures, and skyline breezes. Step directly off the trail into Historic Fourth Ward Park to sit beside the sunken retention pond and fountain basin. It is an easy, car-free stretch built for unhurried walking.

🥞 Sunday · Fluffy Pancakes to Historic Warehouse Bites

Begin Sunday morning with a seated breakfast at Pancake Social, choosing from lemon-ricotta pancakes or a savory grits bowl. Afterwards, stroll down the southern segment of the Eastside Trail into Inman Park to explore Krog Street Market. Grab an iced latte, artisan chocolate, or lunch at a market counter without rush.

☔ Plan B: Rain, Crowds & Budget

Rain: Move indoors inside Ponce City Market's central food hall or Krog Street Market's covered warehouse corridors, swapping outdoor trail walks for sheltered shopping.

Crowds: If rooftop games or popular food stalls have long waits, pick quieter counter stalls or relax along open lawn spaces at Fourth Ward Park.

Tighter budget: Walking the Eastside Trail and resting at Fourth Ward Park are completely free; skip paid rooftop attractions and enjoy self-guided murals.
