Description

Along Staten Island's northeastern shore, these grounds are particularly popular with runners and dog owners. The paths wind past red oaks, horsechestnuts, and tulip trees, opening up to views of Fort Wadsworth to the south and the lower Manhattan skyline across the water. At the northeastern edge, the September 11, 2001 Living Memorial Grove stands in quiet, direct line of sight to where the World Trade Center once stood.
