Designed by Lewin Sharp and opened in 1901 on Shaftesbury Avenue, this Grade II listed building was the capital's first Edwardian-era playhouse. It accommodates an 827-seat capacity for acclaimed plays and musicals, though visitors note that older-era architecture brings tight legroom in the rear circle and severely restricted sightlines from certain balcony positions.
