An Irish Pub with a Circular Bar and Guinness

Settle into a compact Midtown refuge for crispy wings, burgers, fries, and a slow evening.

Settle in for wings and Guinness.

🍀 Wings and Pints

Blink on 7th Avenue and you could walk right past P.J. Carney’s, a compact Irish pub tucked away from the Midtown rush. Step inside and the dim, historic room, with its cozy booths and circular bar, makes the surrounding city feel far away.

The pour is the draw. Pints and cocktails flow easily, with a properly poured Guinness as the house signature, and the kitchen keeps to the pub classics, crispy chicken wings, burgers, fries, and shepherd’s pie. It is the kind of plate that pairs naturally with a second round, and the low key warmth makes an unhurried evening easy to settle into, whether you claim a booth or a stool at the bar.

Space inside is tight. The bigger perk is the clock. Carney’s opens at 11 AM Monday through Saturday and at noon on Sunday, then stays open until 4 AM every night, an easy last stop after a late dinner nearby.
