🍽️ Two Traditions, One Table

Chinese and Bengali cooking share one menu at The Monkey King, an intimate dinner spot at 1329 Willoughby Avenue in Bushwick. The room is stylish and welcoming, with a lively buzz that suits a group dinner or a date night.

Start with the two plates that lead the menu, shrimp toast and green beans, then build out the table with cumin lamb, crab fried rice, and pan fried dumplings. Ordering a few plates to share lets you taste how the two traditions meet across one spread.

Dinner is the only service here. The kitchen is closed on Monday, runs from 5 PM to 11 PM Tuesday through Thursday, and stays open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. Sunday runs from 5 PM to 10 PM, an earlier finish for a weekend meal. Expect upscale pricing, in line with a refined night out in Brooklyn.
