An Improvised Murder Mystery Invents Its Own Culprit

Performers at Capital One Hall build and solve a brand new crime from audience suggestions, with no script.

Call out a suspect at The Vault inside Capital One Hall.

🕵️ One Night in Tysons

🎲 How the Crime Starts

Resonance Improv Alliance builds the whole case on the spot from suggestions the audience calls out. Nothing is scripted, and the performers work out motive, means, and suspect while the scene runs. Even the cast stays unaware of the culprit until the reveal, which keeps the solve genuine for everyone in the room. The night opens with short sets from local comedians before the investigation begins. The company runs the format regularly at Capital One Hall.

🍸 Inside the Room

Doors open onto The Vault, the smaller room inside Capital One Hall, where seating faces a bare stage. Audience members shout suggestions early and keep feeding details as the case develops. A bar runs through the night with signature cocktails for purchase, and people order between sets. Laughter cuts across the room whenever a performer contradicts an earlier clue. Performers pull individual guests into the questioning when a scene calls for it.

🎟️ Doors, Price, and Fit

The show runs Friday, October 9, starting at half past seven in the evening. Capital One Hall sits at 7750 Capital One Tower Road in Tysons, with tickets sold through Ticketmaster rather than at a box office window. Drinks cost extra on top of admission. Arrive early enough to catch the opening comedy sets. Anyone expecting a scripted whodunnit with a fixed ending should pick a different show.
